Chicago Fire weakest Team while Play away

There has not been a team weaker than Chicago Fire when it comes to playing away in the Major League Soccer.

But, yesterday, at last, a clueless Montreal Impact squad let them break their winless run on the road in more than 24 months by dishing out easy goals to them.

Accepting the lower standard of the play of his team, Mauro Biello says anyone who gave away cash to buy a seat in the arena can slam the Impact players as it’s deserved.

As per Biello, no player was relaxed ahead of the game and was thinking that a win would come just by wandering around because it was Chicago. As much preparation went into it as would have gone in for any other team, but, recklessness on the pitch obviously would have given an impression to the viewers that the pre-game thought process was not right.

The 44-year old who was the spearhead of the attack of Montreal Impact during the late nineties was quoted saying, “As a viewer, it costs you to book a seat, doesn’t it? So, if you are provided such poor quality, you can boo.”

“There was never a time when we can say we had an upper hand, not for a second. It was always us chasing the game and not them, which was really, really awful.”

Chicago was able to put brakes on Impact’s gun Didier Drogba too who had proved to be the most dangerous player in the previous meetings between the two sides.

The African legend actually could have converted a set piece on one instance, but, was denied by a brilliant Sean Johnson who was as alert and sharp between the sticks on the night as he would ever have been.
